Chetumal.- The director of Administración Portuaria Integral de Quintana Roo (Apiqroo), Alicia Ricalde Magaña, accompanied the Governor Carlos Joaquín to the presentation of an allusive sculpture to Nachi halach uinik Maya Nachi Cocom and the inauguration of the reconstruction of the Yacth Club concrete pier in Chetumal.
The state official said that in both works, that were carried out on instructions from the state governor, more than three million pesos were invested.
She said that in the Yacth Club concrete pier in Chetumal over one million 104 thousand pesos were invested in its reconstruction. “This facility is 90 meters long and 2.55 meters average width with a total area of 225 square meters, in addition to lighting”.
Ricalde Magaña reported that in the case of the small square of Chetumal, over one million 936 thousand pesos were allocated in order to improve the urban image of this recreation space for the people of Chetumal. “Stamped concrete floor, stairs, handicap ramp and lighting, in addition to benches, tables, free wifi and sound system were placed”, she added.
She said the allusive sculpture halach uinik Maya Nachi Cocom and improvements which now has this space represent an additional attraction for tourists visiting the state capital and generate greater economic benefit to the merchants of the town.
“These works are added to the actions taken by Governor Carlos Joaquin to provide more and better economic opportunities for the people of Quintana Roo and create new recreational areas.”
